Price List Policy

Federal Trade Commission regulations (16CFR Part 453) require funeral licensed establishments to provide you with General Price List. The goods and services shown below are those we provide to our families. You may choose only those items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

Section 7865 (B) of the California Business and Professions Code states the following:

Prior to drafting of any contract for goods or services, the responsible party or the decedent’s survivor who is handling the funeral arrangements is entitled to receive a copy of any preneed agreement in the possession of the funeral establishment that has been signed and paid for, in full or part, by or on behalf of the decedent.

Basic Professional Services:

Basic service of funeral director and staff $1,195

Includes, but is not limited to:

24 hour, 365 day availability of staff to respond to initial request for service
Arrangement conference with family or responsible party
Preparation and filing of the necessary authorization and permits
Preparation and filing of the death certificate
Coordinating arrangements with cemetery, crematory, and/or other parties involved with the final disposition
Overhead expenses relative to our facility such as professional licensing, legal and accounting fees, insurance, building and utility expenses, parking lot and grounds, maintenance, taxes, equipment, furnishings, inventory costs, bookkeeping, secretarial and administrative expenses. This is a non-declinable fee.

This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. With direct cremation and immediate burial, this fee is already included in their charges.

Preparation of Body Care:

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. A funeral establishment must refrigerate an unembalmed body in its possession if burial or cremation does not take place within 24 hours. Keep in mind that embalming does not prevent decomposition of a body.

DIRECT CREMATION $1200

Includes basic services of funeral director and staff, removal and transfer of decedent to crematory (removal), and refrigeration/storage (up to 14 days). It also includes an alternative cremation container that encases the body and can be made of fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). After cremation is completed and if an urn is not selected, cremains will be placed in a plastic container at no extra charge. No viewing or service.

IMMEDIATE BURIAL $2500

Includes basic services of funeral director and staff, removal and transfer of decedent to mortuary, refrigeration/storage (up to 14 days), transferring of decedent to local cemetery for interment (30 mile radius). Sanitation or embalming of decedent is not required. Additional cost if authorized for sanitation or embalming. No viewing or service. Casket not included.

RECEIVING OF REMAINS FROM ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME $2,195

Includes basic service of funeral director and staff, transporting of decedent from local airport or other place of shipment (within 30 mile radius) to cemetery or crematory. No viewing or service.

FORWARDING OF REMAINS TO ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME $2,095

Includes basic service of funeral director and staff, removal and transfer of decedent to mortuary, embalming, transporting to or from local airport or other place of shipment within 30mile radius and obtaining necessary authorizations (does not include shipping charges and shipping container). No visitation or ceremony. Applies to only shipment within the United States.
